I have an HP Mini, and there is no CD drive. It comes with the Syncable desktops but that doesn’t access the CD drive. The computer Im trying to connect to is on the same network as the mini, but I can’t figure it out. Since the mini doesn’t have the disk driver I can’t just right click and hit share so Im stuck. Please help.

What I would like to do with this system: The most important thing out of the three reasons I want this new system is the ability to use autocad (graphic design software), it doesn’t need to be built around it though. I will also need to use FL Studios (music producing software) along with the ability to run WoW on the highest settings and be able to enjoy everything this game has to offer.

Price range QQ: I don’t currently get paid substantial amounts of money, my current plan is to slap the charge on a credit card so that I can make the monthly payments and at least give myself a wee bit more of a score (yeah sorry, with being 19 years old I don’t have any current credit, I only recently decided that I am responsible enough to make payments without being late). So ultimately I’m looking for a system that is under ,000, even though 2k might be pushing it by making me pay 0 a month along with insurance bills ect ect.

What I’ve looked into: I started this new recent quest for a new computer a few days ago, and I think I’ve built up enough background knowledge to understand at least the most important computer terms. I really just want a nice processor, a comfortable amount of RAM, and enough PCI slots to let me play around with some fans and other accessories.

I’m open to any suggestions! I want to invest into a nice computer because I do spend quite a while sitting in front of the screen, and if I’m not at the computer I’m either playing guitar or smoking with some buddies. I’m willing to learn the process of building my own computer, but the convenience of having it built for me also sounds kinda nice. So help me out :D

I also have no preference between laptops and desktops.

hi anyone have any reccomendations on desktops that are capable of online gaming whilst providing decent graphics? have a budget of 600 pounds

I want to purchase Snow Leopard for my laptop, but I’m not sure if there’s a version for laptops and desktops.

I have installed ubuntu 9.04 and it only has 2 desktops when i looked on youtube it showed that it usually has 4 how can i change it so it has 4 desktops.

i need a little advice on whether to get this router or not. i would be connecting a cable modem to the router and 2 desktops and 360 to the router

I just noticed that there are unfamiliar ‘desktops’ in my Finder, under the ‘Shared’ tab. I have no idea what these foreign icons mean. One was described as (username) PC.

Does this mean others are accessing my desktop?
Is this dangerous?
Can they access all of my files?
How could they penetrate my own desktop password?

I do use a secure wifi.
