I’ve written a website and I have the folder with all the necessary files, and I want to get it on the internet. Where do I buy the domain name and through that site how do I upload the folder so that it will use the files in it? Basically, where can I host a website using my files?

This might sound a bit stupid, but I’m creating a website at the moment using dreamweaver 8, I am able to create and design the website, but I don’t know how to actually put it on the internet.

I have already purchased a domain name, so if anyone familiar with dreamweaver 8 or dreamweaver in general, please help.

recently I purchased a Domain name (www.myname.com) and I want to redirect it to a free web hosting site where my site is located, so how do I do it, what is the procedure, say if I want to redirect it to my myspace profile..

And once you buy a domain name do you have to pay monthly or is it yours permanently?

I am currently using a website developer as my hosting service and have been wanting to transfer my domain name to a new web hosting service so that i will be able to have full control of my website in order to make updates and changes whenever I need to.

My question is, what is the best and easiest web hosting service out there that I can transfer my domain name to?
