So I am trying to connect my Sony Camera with my laptop with a USB plug. When I plugged it into the USB port, I hear the sound from my laptop meaning that it’s recognized. However, it is not found in My Computer. I went to Disk Management after searching for solutions in Google and so I changed the drive letters but nothing worked. It is still No Media. Just to let you know I am using Windows 7 and my USB port is not damaged. I tried with other USB plugs and it worked. I am already in my admin account, which is the only account in this laptop. I am trying to import the pictures from the camera into my laptop. Is there another way to have the Removable Disk appear in Computer?
I also found out that when I clicked "Devices and Printers" in Control Panel, the Sony Camera does appear there, as Sony DSC. So I right-clicked it > Browse Files, and tried too click Removable Disk (V:). But it is not clickable!
Then I went to Windows Media Player and tried to open the files in the camera. In there, I can see "Removable Disk". I clicked it and "Please insert a disk into Removable Disk (V:)" pops up.
Please tell me some other suggestions I can do to try to fix this. I connected the camera to my laptop and it worked just fine last time. This happened when I tried yesterday. I also tried it at two other laptops and it worked there, but how come not in mine?
I did the restarting method but nothing changed. Also, I don’t think the memory card in the camera is locked since it is able to connect to the other two laptops I have tried.
I have also tried uninstalling the host controller as suggested. Every other USB is working except this one Sony Camera?
