Every time I open Windows Live Messenger from one device, it closes on the other. I don’t have this issue with other messengers. I am assuming it’s a setting someplace.

‘sign in’ tab
unable the opcion ‘always close session in all other locations when I sign in Messenger’
apply/ok
then you can use the same account to sign in from different computers at the same time
NOTE
unable that option on all messengers you sign in

You can only open one messenger under one account. Install Messenger plus for the ability to sign on with more accounts.

You cannot be logged on with the same ID in more than one computers,at least with MSN and Yahoo messengers

Yeah you can be logged on to more the one computer , i believe you need windows live messenger plus , its a good product that doesn’t have a virus and you can be logged on to one account at many diffrent places and you can also be logged on to more then one account on a single computer, i have been logged on to 2 places at once ( blackberry and computer ) just fine.
