If there is an AMD equivalent to Intel Core 2 Quad, is it cheaper?

I’m trying to uninstall/remove a bunch of programs from my parents comp. Its too slow & cluttered, but I’m not sure if some of these programs are safe to remove. Can I unistall any of these or some of these? (Listed on "My Computer"- "Add/Remove Programs")

I’m unistalling Webshots they have & also on their list of programs (not on their add/remove list) are the following programs, not sure why they have it or what some are:
itunes (They don’t use it, why is it on there & can I uninstall it safely?)
Windows Movie Maker
Epson Printers (They have an HP Deskjet printer)

They do play a lot of on-line arcade type games & email, use internet searches & visit a lot of "safe" websites & use Works & Word occassionally, but that’s it.

I know there is an only converter just like google translate, but I noticed from my friends computer when i go to non-English websites, a bar after your toolbar (where you bookmarks or etc is), it ask me to convert to "any language". Correct me if I’m wrong but i think this is from the computer itself, or something is install like from the regional languages when you install other languages. But please help me figure out how to enable that program.

I have an HP Pavilion dv2715nr with 2gb ram and amd turion 64×2. The video ram used to be on 64mb, and then I changed it to 128mb, but I can’t change to 256mb.

JAVASCRIPT certification or HTML certification or ASP certification? Pls which will be the best and WHY?
