Does the m17x still preform good?
September 3rd, 2011 on 11:09 pm
@Jetbus90 ..Yes it still performs great, except for the small thing I mentioned on one of my comments, in which it sometimes gives me a blue screen when I bump it or set it down too hard. Not sure why this happens. This is the only small issue I have had with it in over a year of ownership. I am actually about to but an alienware desktop since I have been really pleased with the laptop.

@flamini2010 …You are looking at the entry level M17XR3 for $1499. Though I purchased mine over a year ago, it was upgraded on several levels. First the screen is 1920×1200 vs. the standard 1600×900..this alone put you at the $1799 starting point. then upgrade to 8GB RAM, 1TB hard drive, more powerful wireless card, etc and you are up to $2200 current. The single slot blue ray burner/reader option I have is not even offered anymore would be another $200+. Prices haven’t really changed.
