I don’t care about hard drive. I have plenty on external.
Please tell me why I should choose either one. Give reasons since both of them are similar. Thank you!
Well, I decided to go with Dell because of a big discount. Here’s the spec.

I have worked professional with both HP and Dell for 16 years. I would go with the Dell.
If you open a Dell computer, you will find that everything is well laid out, the cable are neat and held in place by clips, and you have easy access to any of the parts. This makes repairs and upgrades much easier (and cheaper). Dell also uses "off the shelf" parts for just about everything, making upgrades and replacement parts easy to get.
If you open an HP, it is a mess. Cable are everywhere. You have to remove the hard drive and the bay that holds it to get to the memory. Parts are literally held in place by masking tape. They are a nightmare to service. Plus getting service or parts from HP is almost impossible. Most of the parts they use are unique to HP, and so you can not replace with "off the shelf" parts.
Of the two, I expect that any time we get in new computers, if they are HP computer, I can expect 10% to be "DOA" right out of the box. With the Dell, the failure rate is under 1%.
Those HP computer that do run, are usually rock solid, and give good performance. Dell has a slightly higer rate of needing repair. But when repair does have to be done, the Dells are cheaper and easier to fix.
Having dealt with both HP and Dell’s service lines, I would take the Dell service every time. They normally can overnight me a replaement part, and if I order it before 4PM, I will have it in my hands by 10AM the next day. HP usually takes a week or more to get me a part.
That is why I own several Dell computers and no HP.

FOR GODS SAKE DONT BUY A DELL!
dell assembles thier PCs very cheaply in a way that every part is soldered onboard to the motherboard. which means that your computer isnt going to be upgradable
and for 2000$ you probably arent gonna want to throw it out and buy new when the need for an upgrade comes
oh and thier customer support isnt too great either.
I would Reccoment The HP,
Or you could try Gateway or Acer.
