Yep thats good. Just don’t go expecting great gaming performance y’know? I mean if you wanted that you get a desktop PC or one of those crazy 17″ inch laptop. But other than that, yea… it’s a nice laptop.
Excellent review Arabteq, Im looking to upgrade my laptop to a more powerful one for video editing, as my Toshiba u300 is just not hacking it with a 1.5GHz intel core 2 duo. Its alright for work but for anything else it struggles
Just need to save up the money and get this m1330 !
How do you cope with the touch pad or do you use an external mouse and whats battery life like with the 9 cell battery ?
I would advice you to get a PC for video editing because you get more bang-for-buck for PC’s. They are cheaper, you can customise them vastly according to your rising needs, they can accommodate more powerful graphics cards, processors, etc.
If your still keen about getting a laptop for video editing then get the M1530, it’s exactly the same shape/look as the M1330 but can fit a larger graphics card. The graphics card is the main thing you should be worrying about if you want to Video Edit.
I do use an external mouse because any prolong duration of touch pad use results in a sore wrist/hand.
At the beginning with the 9-cell battery I had no programmes running, the lowest lighting, with Vista’s Aero theme turned off it lasted for 6 hours and 45 minutes.
I plan to use my laptop for the upcoming University next month, video editing, writing essays, watching Youtube (lol), listening to music, watching movies :).
My laptops’ specs are 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Nvidia 8400M GS, 4GB of ram, WLED Thin and Light screen, 320 GB HDD.
I have so far edited Standard Definition video, once I get a long piece of video that is cut up many times, it starts to slow down a little bit. I haven’t edited High Definition video but I predict that it will severely bog down the laptop.
i like your review because it came from a consumer, not from someone who knows very detailed things about computers. Sometimes when you know too much, every computer starts to look bad, and your review becomes too detailed. Your review on the other hand is very nice and just goes over the generals that is all people really need to know.
Not really, it has a entry-level graphics card (8400M GS) for the lightest gaming, or old games. I suggest get a desktop first or secondly if you still want a laptop then get a 15 inch laptop as they can accomodate better graphics cards.
bro, just want to ask, i heard there’s some problems with this laptop regarding it’s motherboard or graphic card after some time of using it. a friend of mine want to buy one from his friend, but since he heard there are some problems, he come out to delay the buy to have a thought of it. what say you? hope you can help. thanks in advance!

Hehe thanks. Yeah, I have spoken Arabic before and it is now mixed with a kiwi (New Zealand) accent.

Awesome review!
I was unsure of getting the XPS M1330. But thanks to your review I made up my mind. Today since 1 week back I am a proud owner of one.
Keep up with the reviews of more cool stuff!
