I know lithium-ion batteries run for a certain amount of charge-discharge cycles, but I don’t know if any cycles occur while the battery is fully charged and plugged in.

According to Toshiba you should at least once a month run the battery down and recharge. The new batteries are not bad at setting a memory by not running completely down as with the older types. All batteries have a life or number of charge/discharge cycles before needing replaced. You can go to Toshiba Customer Support for more detailed information.

that type of battery needs to wear down, then recharge it, or otherwise it create memory sector, and you only get a min amount of uses from the battery
