yep! that’s an awesome laptop! only 419?! if you could though i would get a phenom CPU if available..jut a bit better..unless you get the quad core..that’s allot better! all of them are good CPUs though.

Sounds good to me. The main thing you want to look at is Ram, Video Card, Processor, and Hard Drive.

A 9400 GT isn’t going to get you to "max resolution & max settings." but it will do.
The Athlon 64 X2′s were terrible performers.
That’s a micro-atx board so you won’t be able to upgrade worth a damn.
For 400$ … It works. I would look for something with a Phenom II.
When it comes to gaming its all about the graphics card, the processor, the memory speed. Add a solid state drive and put your games on it if you really want to fly. Believe it or not, your hard drive is your largest bottleneck.
** edit **
Didn’t know it was a laptop. For a laptop, that’s a sweet setup. However, I think you would get a better deal on a desktop. Also, you can’t upgrade a video card on a laptop. Only certain laptops (The ones from Alienware, Voodoo, custom builds etc.). Other than that you get what you get and that’s it. That is a pretty sweet laptop though for the money.

C’mon people, wake up! It’s not a laptop. Not in a mid tower case with a 450W psu. Athlon 64 X2? Where? Not in that rig. It’s got a socket AM3 Athlon II X2 250 @ 3.0GHz. There’s a BIG difference.
Basically what you’re looking at is a budget system that comes with a graphics card. Too bad it doesn’t list the make of the psu, can’t tell if it’s decent or a cheapie.
The 9400GT is nVidia’s bottom of the line graphics card, and definately not a gaming card. Neither is the 9500GT, though it is slightly better than a 9400. True gaming cards start at the 9600GT and HD 4650.
It’s not bad for $420, but if you get it you may want to add more memory, a better graphics card and a Corsair power supply.
‘CPU’ stands for Central Processing Unit, also known as a processor. It’s a chip on the motherboard inside the case of a computer. In this case, the cpu is an AMD Athlon II X2 250.

PDL756 is right here. This is JUST making it. You’re going to buy a budget computer that you will never be able to upgrade because of the form factor limitations. And if you look closely the memory is specified as "Corsair or Major Brand". In the memory business, Major Brand denotes ANYTHING with a branded chip. I guarantee this machine will ship installed with dreadful RAM like SuperTalent or PNY. Buyer beware!
