The problem your having has to do with the computer not the printers. It’s a system resources (memory) issue. There are a couple ways to go at your problem. The fastest and least expensive is to add memory to the computer up to the max the motherbard will handle. You can get the memory cheaply and fingd out how much it will hold at http://www.memory.com and putting in your model of Sony. They are a bunch of models and you didn’t give us enough info on which Viao to look it up for you. Next close all programs you can that are running in the background.
More expense but better long term option is to hang the printers on a basic level server so that the work can be spread out and dealt with by the server.
The USB connections your using are greta for ease of installation but one of the least effective ways when doing the level of work that it looks like your doing. Especially considering the printers are all host based (rely of the computer memory) and have no memory onboard to tackle your large printjobs.
You can also consider moving to a color laser and use glossy color laser paper so that the quality still stays high like you wanted. The benefit of the color laser is that they aren’t host based and can deal better with what your doing. Also the cost to run a color laser is less per page than the inkjet/bubblejet market. (About 1/3 less.) The cartridges are more expensive but last much longer resulting in them be cheaper in the long run.

Try to lower the print quality from high to medium or even low in the print properites.
GOOD LUCK!

There is simply no way unless you want to give up on printing quality. As you say "i need it on that setting for quality" you are leaving no option.

yeah if you have the quality cranked up it’ll print slow, that’s normal. if it bothers you, reduce the quality. or take it to kinkos…. or something…
