Well, the title pretty much says it all. I have a Windows Seven machine, and Windows Live Messenger keeps starting when I log on.

Easy…click the ? and show menu, click tools-> options -> Sign in -> uncheck the Auto run when I log on to Windows.

press windows button type msconfig, hit enter, go to startup

Once you are logged into the messenger click the small arrow near your name on the top right corner of the messenger window and click more options.
A window will pop up with the heading options.
There on the left pane of the window select the option sign in.
There in the right pane under the general section uncheck the option that states " start Messenger when i log on to my computer" Then click on apply and o.k.
The next time you start up the messenger will not start. No need to fiddle with msconfig.

- open up the windows live messenger window then press ALT key GO TO
TOOLS > OPTIONS > SIGN IN > UNCHECK " automatically run windows live messenger when i log on to windows "
OR
– go to desktop then press ( START key from the keyboard + R )
then type msconfig then OK
then GO TO
STARTUP tab > UNCHECK " Windows Live Messenger > Reboot Your Computer

Start -> Run. Type msconfig and press enter.
on the config dialog box, open Startup Tab.
In that dialog box, uncheck msnmsgr
click apply and close.
restart the system

to prevent any program from working at start up goto windows defender in start open it then click on tool then software explorer then select start up from drop down list and then scroll to the program click on it and then click disable this will prevent any program from start up to use4 just click on desk top icon
