How do i hook up my laptop computer to my new tv, i have a compaq presario v5000 and a Regza Toshiba HD television it looks like a usb cord plugs into the back of the tv anybody know what kind of hookups i would use for this?

Sounds like you’re looking at an HDMI port. They’re very similar in size and shape to a USB port.
If your laptop has an s-video port, and your TV does, too, that’s probably your only way to connect the two.

usb won’t work, you need vga, dvi, hdmi, or component. and/or some converter to hook up what every you laptop has to what ever your tv has.
