On this PC, Windows XP, the user decided to choose an online desktop picture. When the pic was uploaded to this PC, the pic didn’t display like the user had wanted. The pic was then deleted. When the pic was removed, it left an icon with the ever so famous red X in it. I have been able to remove that icon and the X from the desktop, however, I am unable to choose any other option in display properties/appearance and themes. ie: themed background. I am unable to choose any pic and save it as my desktop background. The only thing I am allowed to do is to change the background color. Even with resetting my desktop options to default, I am left with nothing. I have racked my brain over this and it’s starting to aggrevate me. Any help, suggestions or comments would be great to hear.
