The default login information for Linksys routers depends on the model as shown below.
Default user names:
* Linksys BEFW11S4, WRT54G: admin
* Linksys EtherFast Cable/DSL Ethernet routers: Administrator
* Linksys Comcast routers: comcast
* All other Linksys routers: [none]
Default passwords:
* Linksys BEFW11S4: [none]
* Linksys Comcast routers: 1234
* All other Linksys routers: admin
Where the word [none] is listed above, no name or password is required.
Try one of thees combination and encrypt your wireless network.

The default PW for most Linksys routers is "admin" Leave the user blank).
If that doesn’t work, use the reset button on the back (Hold it in with a paper clip or something similar for 10-15 seconds).
You can then rerun the setup CD or find the instructions at the Linksys site.
I can’t help further without the model number.

There will be a default user and pass for your particular router. I googled and it’s probably no username and admin for the password, or both fields blank, but you should google for your specific model number.
If somebody has changed the password there should be a reset button on the back of it to change it back to the default.
To set a key for the wireless, hold the windows key and hit R to bring up the run window. Type cmd and press ok, this brings up the command prompt window. Type ipconfig into this and it will print a bunch of stuff. Find the bit that says default gateway and type the number next to it into the address bar in the internet (it should be like 192.168.1.1 or something). This brings up the router menu. I’ve never used a linksys router, only a thompson, so I can’t tell you exactly what to do now.
There should be a menu for wireless settings, or wireless security, which you can go into. In security type, select WPA-2 and generate a password. This password will now be required to log in via wireless.

securing you wireless network without username and password is like securing a vault without a lock
its just oxymoron and doesnt make sense lol
ok so you don’t know the username and password of your network…
does your router came with an installation disc?
if yes, then you’ll gonna have to remove the ethernet port and power cable from your router…
install the disc… follow the instructions… if prompted, plug in the router
if you dont have the disc that came with your router, try typing "admin" (without the quote marks) on both the username and password…
if that doesnt work try searching online for "linksys default username password"
my tip for you is to use wpa or wpa2 for security… ofcourse change the default username and password

Ok let’s start at the top. To secure your wireless network you need to go to the Linksys/Cisco website http://home.cisco.com/en-us/wireless/ and look up the manual for your particular router. There is a button in the back of your router that you can press with a pencil of a paper clip. This will reset your user-name & password. Check the online manual to see what the default user-name and password are and then voila! you have access. Please be aware however that sometimes the Internet is just slow.
Also, if you want more detailed info, give us the model number of your router. It’s printed on a sticker on the bottom of your router.
