This is a custom built computer with Intel Pro 100 VE adapters and drivers. I have tried a Dell driver installion CD but it wont recognize my computer as a Dell obviously. How do I fix this problem, everything i want to work works except for my internet.

Go to the manufacturers website of your motherboard, lan card, wireless card.

you need to know your hardware and get the drivers for the specific hardware in your p.c. if you take it to a geek squad, they will take it apart and try to get the name and model of each part and look for the driver and if they cant, they will change the part and charge you a arm and a leg.
