Well of course it’s good, but the hardware is only worth about $1,600. You’re getting raped on the add-ons.

It sounds great except for one problem. Those video cards are NOT the best out there. Have you even considered Crossfire and using ATI’s newest and best cards, the ATI 4870? This card can beat the pants off nVidias top of line card, the 280GTX.
It means, you would have to have a different mobo, because you cannot run Crossfire on an nVidia based chipset. Crossfire is the ATI equivalent of SLI. It’s not ATI’s fault that nVidia decided to not let anyone use SLI with another manufacturer’s cards.
I would suggest looking FIRST at the ATI card I have suggested. Read some reviews and convince yourself that those nVidia cards are not as good as people think they are.
I would NOT buy anything with the name brand "SONY." They build some funny electronics! They are always very proprietary and tend not to run or recognize certain disks or software and will only run certain burning software and not others…I got burned myself on a Sony Dual Layer about 3 years ago and I will never EVER again, buy another Sony product. Not only that, but SONY loves to secretly build in Rootkits into their software that bury themselves into the Kernel of the operating system and compromise your security with it…not to mention trying to control what you can do with the hardware or not.
I would consider just about anyone else’s hardware than SONY…try Pioneer or Liteon for example. Just don’t get a SONY.
I don’t know that RAID really is necessary for game playing myself. I think RAID is more of a kind of…well, ego issue. RAID was designed for mirroring backups for mission critical needs in servers…it wasn’t designed as a critical feature of game playing. I don’t know what value you are going to get out of RAID unless backing up games is mission critical to you. I could do just as well, by backing things up to a cheap DVD or CD’s using some cheap backup software. I think you really need to consider the practicality of RAID configuration and whether you really have to have that in order to play the games you want to play. My suggestion is to get rid of RAID and instead, invest that money into something even better, like Western Digital’s newest 10,000 RPM Viper hard disks. You will get equivalent performance or better.
NOPE! DDR2 800 ain’t good enough if you want the best, go with at least DDR2 1033 Mhz memory which means you need another kind of motherboard.
My final opinion: I don’t think this offer is as good as you think it is, you can do better…they are overcharging you for 3 videocards in my opinion, which to begin with are not the best ones…want to put into your computer a SONY device with rootkits installed and provide you with RAID disks which in my opinon is of limited real value to you for what you want to do.
