Most importantly, I want it to be fast, very fast. And I want to download music and burn CD’s and DVD’s.
I want it to be fast for downloading and surfing speed.

LMAO, you just need 2 cores to watch, listen, burn music and videos. a quad core is over kill and most programs wont use the extra 2 cores. this is a good gaming machine but its overkill for just music and vidoes, save yourself extra cash and get a core 2 duo and a surround sound system.
what mainly affects your downloading and internet speed is your ISP, its not the computer.
for example i have a 10 year old computer with a 6mbit connection and you have the latest computer with a 3 mbit connection, my computer will smoke yours on the internet.

It is one of the best computers out to date. The price is the normal price for that kind of computer.

it would be nice if that also included a decent video card.

Yeah, thats almost as good as you can get for an affordable price.
It will be very fast if you do a few tweaks and stuff to it.

yeah its a good one for 918 you can probably find cheaper at http://www.tigerdirect.com. i take it you want it to be fast at downloading? if thats so then you want a good network card, modem/switch, ISP, and cable. 1g card and modem with cat 5+ wire. alot of the other stuff in the computer will have very little affect on download speed

Having a fast computer has nothing to do with downloading. You need a T-4 connection I got cable regular Roadrunner and thats about T-11/2. That T-4 connection will cost about 700 – 1000 bucks a month So if you’re not rich, get cables roadrunner Turbo thats about T-2. But watch out theres a lot of people online through cable and it slows it way down.
