He hogs it 24/7(Literally) hosting his warcraft 3 even when hes not playing while he plays WOW. I’ve tried confronting him but he just slams my head against a wall or punches my nose and breaks like everytime we have an argument (My parents are still convinced it happens to everyone and it is "sibling rivavlry" So how can I stop him from hogging the bandwidth?

I’d imagine you have a wireless network right? or is it wired hooked up to a router?
If it is wireless, you can contact your internet service provider and get them to stop his server. You can also tell him that companies online sell hosting with more powerful servers than he could imagine and maybe convince him to spend 20$ a month on a game server. Tell him to search "game server hosting" on yahoo! and he’ll find a good game host.
If it is wired, you maybe be able to get your internet service provider to split the bandwidth, he probably won’t be able to run his game anymore. But you will get some bandwidth?
good luck, your best option is to tell him that he should go online and get a game server.

My wife plays WoW, and I have no problem downloading files, streaming video and browsing the web. You may need a connection with more bandwidth. As far as your brother assaulting you, if your parents won’t do anything about it, speak to your teacher or a counselor or nurse at school.

Unplug his computer, or if you’re using a router you should be able to control how much he can use…
Or just start hosting something so he can feel the pain ;)

Get a job and Buy yourself a laptop or wait til you get birthday money or for christmas- there’s no way he can get to you there.. and think of it this way, he can’t use the laptop because its YOURS! i have a laptop, its better with one user than many. It’s not being selfish its being conservative about your space.
