You say “get a good router”. . . but what if we are with cable/internet companies that require us to use THEIR supplied router?

I want a free Newegg thing! I LOVE the licence plate, but I would settle for anything with the logo. :) Too bad, I know how to do all this, but it’s a very well put together video. As always, thanks for being so great, Newegg. :)

Keep up the good work Paul, finally good to see a US based retailer/reviewer, among the dozens of European, Canadian and Australian retailers/reviewers, keep them coming and we’ll keep watching.

Congratulations Paul !! That was so informative and comprehensive.
Have you ever thought of venturing into the exploding field of Home Health and Telemedicine equipments. Recently two new concepts are emerging Accountable Care Organizations and P.C.M.H. ( Patient centric Medical Care Homes) P.C.M.H is all about wireless IT security and data . It will be a great help if you could start a new series tailored to a Patient Centric Medical Home.
Best of Luck and Many many thanks

I recently bought an E3000 and tried to install it yesterday. I have been following the step-by-step instructions from the CD but at one point an error message pops up and the installation Wizard tells me that it cannot find the router. Everything is set up correctly and I have already disconnected and reconnected the cables/modem/router many times. If I plug my laptop directly into my modem, everything works fine (I have access to Internet). What’s the problem ?

Was the wifi name greenway the first time you turn it on? Or did you change it in advance because the first time I turn on my e3000 the wifi name was richmagnolia does that been my e3000 has been used before? Or does it make random name? The box was factory sealed.

Just a thought here.. Wouldn’t have been more idiot proof to show people how to go into the network and sharing center and have them go to adapter settings and right click the network device in use and select status and then detail to get the IP? I realize this might seem like more steps but instead of viewing a command line you get to use a graphical interface, and there is less chance for confusion if someone has a wired and wireless network card installed and active?
