My computer was having some problems so my uncle took it and uninstalled then reinstalled windows xp. Before he did this, i had a RAM upgrade and a better graphics card put in. Now the graphics card works, but my computer doesn’t have the extra RAM. I don’t know anything about computers. What happened and is there something I can do to fix it, or do I just have to bring it in to the shop?

He may have taken out the RAM, it could be seated improperly, or you may have had 64bit XP before and he put on 32Bit. You should ask him what he did and make sure your RAM is seated correctly in the DIMM’s

he maybe installed 32bit instead of 64bit but if your computer doesnt have more then 2gb then just reinstall the ram.

dan brings up a valid point. Check the ram sticks to see if for some reason the ram sticks are no seated correctly. If you do not know how to do this google search it or try to surf youtube… you will be able to find a video on there that will show you how to change the ram. Basically you just open your computer tower take out the ram and put it back in(while the computer is off of course) and make sure that the ram is fully seated
