I’m writing a speech and I need to know what’s the correct way to add page numbers to a microsoft document.
1. Do I place the page numbers on the right margin or left margin?
2. Do I place them in the header or footer?
3. Lastly, do I put the page number on my title page or do i start numbering the pages after the title page?
Answers will be much appreciated!

You should add the page numbers to the footer and position them in the center or right-aligned. Microsoft docs make this easy because the tab stops (left-, center- and right-justified) in the footer are available by default. You can also have a title page header/footer and a document header/footer. This way, page numbers aren’t included on title pages and start on the actual first page of the document.
