we know that a digital picture have a property named DPI (that coulde be set by special sofwares such as photoshop) and any printer have a DPI setting in it’s setting too.
when printing a digital picture the picture’s DPI specifies the size of picture on paper in inches and printer’s DPI has no effect on printed picture size.
thus what is the role of the printer DPI setting ?
only picture’s DPI has effect on printed size !!!

DPI = Dots Per Inch. more dots are equivalents of using a finer nib or brush.

when we use of the DPI on the setting of your printer depending on what you want , you make a lot of point together on your paper it means that we can modification resolution of the print .

Printer DPI is the resolution the printer can print at. This is independent of the picture’s DPI (in Photoshop). In the old days (around the mid 90′s) printer DPI mean’t a lot more than it does now. The good printers with higher DPI printed much clearer and the one’s with low DPI came out blotchy and fuzzy even with high quality photos. These days even the cheap printers have enough DPI that it’s barely even an issue even using regular paper. Nowadays it’s more about the quality of the photo you start with, life of the ink, type of ink, and the quality of paper you use than printer DPI.
