Please don’t suggest to me another computer, there are many reason why it has come down to the two I picked.

Studo 15 is a better choice because of the dedicated graphics/video card (256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450) as opposed to built in Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD for Studio 17.
It will help you if you have any graphics/animation softwares usage + gaming.

Both laptops have operating system (windows premium) of 32 bits and 32 bits operating system can only recognize max RAM of 3GB where as currently you have 4GB. So, if you can downgrade the RAM to 3GB and save some money, that will be better. If you cannot downgrade, keep it as it is.

for the extra 40 bucks, Can’t beat that.
Works well if you really don’t want to play techie, or just don’t have the time or money to deal with the headache.

The bottom one has ATI HD graphics which is much better than Intel GMA. Normally, I don’t recommend a discrete card for a laptop because of price, bulk, heat, and battery consumption. However, there can be no debate as to which provides better graphics – a card with its own memory.
I’ve pasted the URL of a forum that compares the 4500 and the ATI HD – obviously there are other discussions out there. If the lower system is otherwise close enough in terms of weight, size, heat, battery-endurance to the upper system, or if your considerations are for graphics horsepower over those other factors, I’d say go for the Radeon-equipped system.
