I see alot of people here changing their whole computer specs just to run this one game.Folks, let me tell ya, I’ve played Crysis on max settings.Yes, it is a very visually pleasing game but that is about it. The story was very lackluster and mundane for my taste. And I just did not get into the game the same way I got into, say,Half Life 2….
If you are going to spend 100s of dollars in PC upgrades for the sole purpose of running this one game you will be somewhat disappointed in the long run. It’s far from being "the best game ever created".
I’m not saying that people should not upgrade their hardware but just upgrade it for the right reasons. Anybody with me on this?

It’s because Crysis is considered the cream of the crop for video game graphics. If your PC can run this game on max settings, with everything on and at high, that’s saying something. Even NASA joined in. A couple months ago they ran Crysis on all max settings on one of they’re super computers for 10 minutes. They did this just to defy the designers, who said no one would be able run the game on max everything for a while. But, Crysis is kind of a bad game, and its real draw is it graphical abilities.

Crysis id the most demanding game out there. It tests most all hardware to the max.

Totally agree with you. I think alot of these people just want bragging rights. They want to be able to say they have the newest hardware and can play so and so game at max settings.

It’s because Crysis showcases so many new advances in video game graphics. The game has motion blur, advanced physics, sunbeams, etc. It’s not so much that the game is amazing, it’s that it showcases what PC games will be demanding of your computer in the coming years.

I’ve actually never played that game.
