Okay here’s the problem.
I got a brand new 300 Gb hard drive barely three months ago. Installed everything that’s needed. Media, open office, movie maker, internet, printer, anti spyware etc.
I’m using internet explorer and I’ve noticed over the past couple of days It appears to be slowing down. Before and after rebooting my PC it’s still slower than it needs to be.
Now I have some relatively powerful anti threat software on my PC.
I use Malware bytes, Avira, Ccleaner and Comodo registry cleaner. I also use Start page.com as my homepage. (start page claims to be more private/more secure for web browsing) After running all these.
First Malware bytes system scan, Then Avira system scan, Then the Ccleaner and finally Comodo system cleaner. I shut down the machine, restarted it and opened IE only onto start page. I don’t use google search anymore(too much spam)
Now after all this I still notice only after about 30 minutes Internet Explorer still slows down incredibly. (btw all the scan cleaned up everything with not apparent damage) But the web browsing is still noticeably slow.
Is there something on my pC that isn’t being caught or is Internet Explorer having some problem of it’s own? And if so how do I fix it?
PC is about 5 years old. Emachines computer. CRT monitor. HDD only about 3 months old, has 300 gigabytes of space and only 10 gigabytes of space has been used so far.
Any other specs you might need to diagnose this. Please let me know.
Thanx.
Oh and btw. Two things.
1. I’ve already cleared my cache and internet history MULTIPLE TIMES. And I’m still experiencing huge slowdowns. :-(
2. I used firefox on an old hard drive that was nearly five years old.(still have it) and for some odd reason firefox COMPLETELY CRASHED and I had to uninstall it from the hard drive permanently. I’m afraid of something similar happening to this new hard drive. So I don’t know if that’s an option.

First of all i wouldn’t clean your registry unless using ccleaner, because you can mess it up. I had the same problem you describe until I started using SRWare Iron which is like Chrome, but leaner. Another thing to do is remove some recently added software and see if it helps or change up security software and defrag windows.

I think, its not the issue with your internet explorer but something went wrong in your system. You can try mozilla browser or you can give a look to http://www.registrycleanersfreeware.com
By seeing this site you can go for online scan that will help you a most.

I know, Google is hard to figure out :-S
I just got the new Bing toolbar though and it’s pretty cool. It gets good targetted results and you also get rewards and all kinds of goodies for searching.
God bless.
You can get it here…

For running slow there are many causes:
Microsoft Registry Problems
RAM
De-Fragmenting
Etc.
Clean windows registry can speed up the computer.
Registry Cleaner can fix your pc errors.
Over time, you install new programs, uninstalled unimportant programs, update software’s, install new devices,
download files from the web, etcetera, hence embarking all records in the registry system.
This is normal, but it is not wise to leave it untouched.
Once in a while, you have to check and remove files that are no longer in use to maintain the speed of your PC.
Clean registry make pc faster.
